To obtain the key file a binary program called “chinfotool” must be run on the host system
where the iSCSI software is to be installed. That program generates an information file that
contains data about the system. The information file must be sent back to Chelsio where a
license key file will be generated. The key file will be sent back and must be installed on the
system in order to unlock the software. Details on this mechanism can be found in the next
section on software installation.
